The Job Search Grind

You’ve read the blogs, you know the game,

Your resume’s polished, your cover letter’s tame.

LinkedIn’s updated, looking real neat,

Now it’s time to jump in and hit repeat.

You log in, you sign up, create an account,

Filling in details, that number’s quite a amount.

Click, click, click, and then you see,

Another “upload your resume” plea.

Customize, tailor, adjust the tone,

Every company wants to feel like it’s their own.

The job description’s clear, the fit feels right,

But does HR feel the same tonight?

Patience, my friend, you can’t rush the race,

Each application’s a slow, steady chase.

Click “submit,” and wait for the call,

It’s all about probability, after all!

You check your inbox—nothing’s come through,

But keep applying, what else can you do?

At some point, HR will give you a shout,

Maybe you’ll land an interview without a doubt.

But don’t rush the process, don’t cut corners,

Each application’s like building new mourners.

So trust the system, trust the grind,

Your job will come, just take your time.

The journey’s long, but you’ve got this right,

In the end, your perfect job will shine bright
