You’ve made the leap, the desk is new,
The coffee’s strange, the faces too.
Your email’s set, the forms are done,
But fitting in has just begun.
“Hi, I’m new!” becomes your line,
You’re juggling names—it’s a mental climb.
“You do what now? Oh, that’s neat!”
(While you hide confusion discreet.)
The onboarding’s here, it’s no small feat,
With manuals and tasks piled at your feet.
But skip the docs, here’s the trick:
Talk to people—they’ll guide you quick.
“Fifteen minutes, if you’ve the time,
What you do here sounds sublime.”
They’ll light up, share, and spill the tea,
On what they do and how it’ll be.
Meet your boss with a curious face,
“What’s the priority in this space?”
They’ll map it out, a starting list,
You’ll feel like less of a newbie adrift.
And though the high of the offer fades,
Reality comes with its own cascades.
Learning’s steep, mistakes feel loud,
But give it time—you’ll make them proud.
Hybrid or not, show up in style,
Face-to-face will go the mile.
Soon enough, you’ll find your groove,
Three months in, you’ll surely improve.
So embrace the ride, the highs and lows,
This hero’s journey only grows.
You’re building bonds, you’re making waves,
In this new role, you’ll surely amaze!
